City of Mutare has procured two utility vehicles that represent the first batch of vehicles to be procured in a bid to restore service delivery.
The Town Clerk Mr Joshua Maligwa, The Mayor for the City Councillor Nhamarare, Senior Managers received two Nissan NP200 vehicles that were purchased from Dully's Motors.
The vehicles were purchased using proceeds raised from an auction of obsolete equipment conducted last year.
Before end of next month, City of Mutare is expecting to receive seven more utility vehicles and two refuse trucks, a development which will speed up the realigning of service delivery wheels.
The Mayor was upbeat that the pace at which management was prioritising key enablers of service delivery, will soon result in accelerated serviced delivery.
"Such focused management at Civic Centre will undoubtedly restore service delivery, this is good news not only to the management but to the residents as well," he said.
Dully's Motors Mutare Manager appreciated the sound relationship existing and pledged to assist council with training of drivers so that they are abreast of the new technological changes in the motor industries.
"We appreciate the confidence that you have demonstrated, and we are happy to be part of the bigger Mutare family. We are ready to play our part in ensuring that the Local Authority delivers its mandate to the residents and stakeholders at large.
